What’s Blocking your Fight

Internet filters blocking pornography have become big business lately. They’re great for providing a piece of mind for unsuspecting/ trusting parents and also for vulnerable adults.

But what about YOU the man of God? The man scripture calls a solider do you intend on staying chained forever to a filter or will you MAN-UP and learn to fight pornography like a man.

I do want to share some thoughts that I have on the matter.

1. Are you using a filter/blocker  to stop porn excessing you or to stop you from excessing pornography?

2. Are these companies preying on your weakness? are they steeling your fight? will they make you lazy and complacent?  are they fleecing you of your hard earned cash?

3. Do they actually equip men to fight/resist pornography?

4. Will you allow a filter to rob you of your testimony and God of His glory working through your circumstances?

5. Jesus sets you free, a filter will keep you in a slave mentally afraid to let go.

6. Do filters teach you biblical principles of crucifying the flesh, overcoming temptation, resisting the devil etc.

7. Read 2 Chronicles 16 and draw on your own conclusions.

Relying on a filter/blocker is basically a false economy, it may take the heat of you for a while but what will you do if you loose the signal, if you ever run into financial difficulties, and let’s face it we all do at some point  your provider will pull the plug quicker than it took you to sign up and then how are you going to cope and manage on your own?

Pornography on the Prowl

 

Pornography will generally prey on believers who are angry or unhappy, with themselves their marriage their jobs their faith or their situations. Porn thrives on suffering, low self-esteem. misery,chaos the negative and stupidity.

Pornography’s attack against the body of Christ  would have failed long ago if we were happy, filled with the Holy Spirit, crucifying the flesh and educated in scripture. Its up to us to make our fellowships a better place. If all you do is look for distractions instead of building up your relationship with Christ or sit in front of the television and pollute your mind on sleaze and filth then maybe you are getting what you deserve.

Today’s the day to turn off your TV get on your knees and pray, read scripture and do something positive.

No Fear of God

Today there is really no fear of God amongst most Christians. Believers need a fresh revelation of the fear of God.  Why do you think we take the horrendous risks that we do? Why do we flaunt our liberty the way we do?  Why do we push the boundaries the way we do?

Interestingly, the first time the Bible uses the term “fear of God” is in relation to sexual sin (Genesis 20v11). It’s through sexual temptation more than anything else that God tests man to see if he fears Him or not. If you have no fear of God then what do you fear? Your wife, your family, your mate, your Pastor, your congregation finding out about your secret lifestyle in pornography?

The FoG is one of your greatest assets in this battle.  It will spread out before you, like sand on the seashore, all the ill rotten stinking sins that you ever committed, keeping you from making them all over again.

The FoG will ransack your heart from one end to the other awakening your conscience, like looking through a microscope magnifying your sins breeding and multiplying because you refuse to crucify the flesh.

The FoG will finally allow you to judge yourself. So that God won’t have to.

The FoG will fully manifest itself through His Love as He shares with you His hurt and pain at the saints who are held captive by sins chains.

The FoG will set you free as it exposes and lifts the lid that pornography is actually Baal-Peor/Satan worship.

God is loving, just and kind to those who love and fear Him, but you will not mock Him. You will not take God for the fool and you cannot afford to play games with a Holy God and win, it’s impossible.

Most guys are caught up in a vicious sin – confess – sin cycle and getting nowhere. The FoG is the power that you need in your life to help you turn from porn. Only when you get to see and experience how harmful porn really is and begin to hate it as God hates it, change will happen.

When you fully experience the FoG next time you are tempted with porn, instead of entertaining that thought and seeking a way to justify your actions, you will run to the Father for His protection and mercy because you will finally understand that life away from God’s protection will only bring destruction and disaster into your circumstances.

You will never experience victory over sin or pornography, and more importantly remain free, unless you have a healthy fear of God.

Freedom from Pornography is not found in pursuing Freedom.

Most believer’s I speak too concerning the issue of freedom from pornography seem to be wasting valuable time, hard earned money and resources pursuing freedom with the wrong mindset. Through no fault of their own they are attempting to fight pornography as the world fights pornography with courses, books, meeting, internet blockers etc striving to the point where they exhaust themselves spiritually, mentally and physically.

As you read through our material we believe what’s happening to believer’s today can all be traced back to Numbers 25 were sex was used for the first time as a stumbling block to lure Israel away from God. It was purposely used to distract Israel’s worship, affection and devotion away from God and it succeed so well Satan is using it to the max today.

The believer looking for freedom from pornography should focus solely on rebuilding their relationship with Jesus first and foremost. For this is what pornography is all about, its goal is to completely destroy your relationship with Jesus. It demands that you submit your free time your worship and your total devotion to it.

So when you finally burn out, or grind to a halt and have grown tired of all the gimmicks that the world has to offer in pursuit of freedom please don’t turn your back on the Lord for he is always here waiting on you to realize that your freedom is a by-product of a relationship with the Saviour.
