Some home truths about porn

If you are watching pornography you aren’t treating your wife with the love and respect that she deserves or making a commitment to honour your marriage you are initiating her and indoctrinating her to be your Temple whore because it creates an environment where its acceptable to degrade and humiliate women through sex.

The easier it becomes to watch porn the harder it becomes to Love your wife and that’s a fact.

If you are married and  watch porn there is nothing wrong with your marriage, there’s something wrong about you.  You are just as unfaithful to your spouse as Israel was towards God.

Whilst you may think that watching pornography is liberating and improving your sex life to your wife you have become a perv and a selfish abuser.

Your wife may not be able to figure out straight away that you watch porn behind her back but in her spirit she will sense that something is wrong by the way you speak to her the way you touch her the ability to express your emotions and show tenderness towards her.

Pornography demands that you perform and act out its sickening lust filled scenarios at your wife’s expense.

Listen men pornography will never- can never replace your wife no matter how good or bad you may think of her.

Psalm 56 8. Let not the marriage bed be defiled for God will judge

Dealing with the Porn Problem God’s way

I did a short blog 2 years ago on how I believe the church is being led away from the Truth found in scripture regarding man’s wisdom concerning pornography. I just wanted to expand on that a bit after attending a Christian conference lately in Belfast. I seriously couldn’t believe that this faith-based ministry was teaching a half-truth to church leaders with no biblical reference, no answers or conclusion to the problem and letting them go home without bringing the hope of Jesus Christ.

To me this highlights three things:

1. The Church doesn’t teach about the effects of porn and what it really is the way God wants it to be taught through His word.

2. They are running after a different source; the bible puts it this way – they are drinking out of broken cisterns.

3. They aren’t prepared to sit down with their bibles open and listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit who will lead them into the truth and knowledge of scripture.

It would be a bonus or at least a bit of a comfort to know that the Church is united over how to tackle pornography among the rank and file, but sadly it isn’t. The curse of pornography has managed to separate and divide those of us who are trying to stand up and do something about it.  It’s gotten among us and is scattering our trains of thought to all the wrong places. Instead of this fight uniting us together under the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit it has split us up, huddled in our own little groups with the majority now turning to worldly secular wisdom instead.

Christianity is the largest collective faith-based group in the world and many are seeking out the world’s advice and treatment rather than looking to God’s word for an answer.

Here at this ministry we don’t look to psychology or rely on science to inform us what pornography is, instead we go straight to the bible and to Numbers 25 to understanding what the church is facing today concerning pornography.

You see, the thing is you won’t find the word PORNOGRAPHY in scripture, just like you won’t find the words rapture, trinity, abortion or dinosaur, but you will find their descriptions, behaviour and what they are. I don’t know if you have picked up on this but lately there is a huge, huge push by everybody to promote porn as an addiction and I believe through scripture that this theory is simply a smoke screen to lure you away from what God’s word really teaches. Each lecture, each written article is a fabricated half-truth to cast doubt on the sovereignty of God and of course on the back of every addiction is a lucrative business opportunity for those vultures to bleed your pockets dry.

All it takes is one person’s theory to catch another’s imagination, promote it, publicise it through Satan’s global media empire and soon it becomes fact.  The church bought into this type of misinformation over 400 years ago with alcoholism.  Modern science back then believed that alcoholism was a disease and if you touched or stood near an alcoholic you would catch the disease. The church bought into this theory and promoted this scientific nonsense as fact.  I want to bring a book to your attention called the Myth of Sex Addiction by David Ley and it contradicts the porn addiction theory . I don’t like recommending any books other than the Bible, but in this case I’m prepared to let you see that the scientific community aren’t in full agreement either and at odds with each other. The bible doesn’t support the theory and a lot of professionals and academics don’t support it either, but you know the truth gets suppressed and so does Christ.

Gary Wilson’s Tedx talk explains how he believes pornography rewires your brain. It’s a good presentation, so good that you could almost believe it. But you need to understand this is not a Christ-friendly presentation and seizes every opportunity to draw truth away from the bible. Like Darwin did vs Creation, and AI vs God the Creator.  The underlying theme of this false teaching is designed to cast doubt on the word of God by exchanging the truth of scripture for the half-truth of man’s wisdom.

Science is generally a rejector of God’s word and in effect what that presentation is saying is this. WE HAVE THE ABILITY/KNOWLEDGE TO EXPLAIN HOW PORN LIGHTS UP AND REWIRES YOUR BRAIN BUT IF WE CAN’T EXPLAIN A LINK BETWEEN PORN AND SATAN WORSHIP THEN IT CAN’T BE HAPPENING. So to me and you that means that Jesus is no longer the answer.

If science can find anything to come against the truth found in scripture then it will aggressively thrust its agenda in everybody’s face in this case attempting to re-educate the sincere believer that there is a power out there greater than your creator and that power is pornography because it has absolute power to change the DNA  make-up of your brain.  I’m actually not attacking Gary Wilson nor do I have any major problem with his work because what he presented at Tedx is what I would expect to hear from the secular humanist temples of further education.  Unfortunately those people are always going to be with us casting doubt by whispering Satan’s lies. Thankfully over the centuries  the Holy Spirit has faithfully revealed their schemes through discerning saints.

However, what I do have a major issue with here is believers, church leaders and especially faith-based ministries in this line of service promoting the secular view that pornography reshapes, rewires, reprograms your brain. The book of Romans tells us that it is not pornography, but God, who changes your brain as He withdraws His protection and peace from over your life because of your rebellious and idolatrous behaviour.

Romans 1:28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a debased mind to do things that ought not to be done.

A debased, depraved, reprobate mind, a condemned mind, a foolish mind, a sinful and corrupted mind, a defective mind, doubled-minded; these are all descriptions that you will find in other biblical translations of this popular scripture.  God allows the process to happen, the mind is a work of His creation and He is the one who is in control.

The greatest resource that you could own to understanding what pornography is isn’t a text book or science book, it’s God’s book the Holy Bible.  This process of your brain changing will only happen if you continually reject God and the prompting of the Holy Spirit and go deeper into pornography.  You will force God to gradually remove His presence and peace from over your life and in turn He will then reluctantly allow your sin to consume you whether it be porn, alcohol, money, drugs, gluttony, materialism, etc.

Most men start to believe that they have formed an addiction to pornography but all that’s happened is that God has handed them over to captivity for rebelling against His Son.   It’s the OT standard. God handed the Israelites over to captivity whenever they rejected his word and were whoring and idol worshiping after false gods.  Why should He be any less with us who are called by His name.

So when you have those images 24/7 tormenting you in your mind, it’s not pornography changing your brain but rather warning shots that God’s presence and protection is starting to be removed from your life. God will not allow His Holy Spirit to be subjected to your lured choices, so you will give Him no choice but to withdraw His presence and peace from over your life.

We have no idea how faithful God is.  God will contend and put up with us as long as we are truly and honestly trying to help ourselves, but God will not be mocked if you insist on having your sin and hardening your heart to the prompting of His Holy Spirit.  The time will come when you will give God no choice but to surrender you over to the power of the enemy.

Rom 1:24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity to the dishonouring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the creator.

Can you imagine how difficult that is for God to surrender you back over to the enemy after the victory His Son won on the cross for you and to listen to the mocking voice of Satan taunt God?  “Was Christ’s death not enough?” as he proudly displays you in his trophy cabinet as yet another fallen Christian, reclaiming what he used to be lord over.

Num, 11; 19-20 “you shall not eat 1 day, 2 days nor 5 days nor 10 days but you shall eat it a whole month until it comes out of your ears”.  God says that if you want it more than me you can have as much of it as you want.

I hope you can see who is really in control and the One who is allowing the brain changing to happen. One vital warning we can learn from the bible is that if we will repeat the past and all this secular science rubbish, we are setting ourselves up to fall again for it is keeping us distracted from the warning found Numbers 25.

Judge everything accordingly to the word of God because your freedom depends on what you are prepared to believe. Science and secular society labels porn “ADDICTION”. God’s word calls it “SIN” and sin produces adulterers, fornicators, idol worshippers and whore-mongers.  Where does the bible tell us these people have their place in?

Satan has waged this all-out war of porn and sexual sin against God but he’s using you, His precious bride to get at Him and you have to decide where you are prepared to take your knowledge and understanding from.  The BIBLE or a SCIENCE BOOK?

If God has handed you back over to the enemy it’s never too late to turn the situation around.  Judge yourself  so God won’t have to, repent by crucifying the flesh, reject porn and turn back to Christ and God will pull you out.

God’s presence gives us a sound mind: 2 Tim 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind

So Hefner is dead

Hugh Hefner, the founder of playboy has finally passed away.  He has been hailed as a successful businessman/publisher, a pioneer, revolutionary freedom fighter.  But when I compare Hugh Hefner to the written word of God I don’t see him as any of the above but rather as an evangelist of Baal-Peor.

He wasn’t a godly man or has never preached from a pulpit.  Yet his simple and straightforward message has been welcomed into millions of Christian homes.  His brand of “evangelism” hasn’t spent time preaching on the street corners or handing out tracks, but yet it has challenged and harassed the church over the last 60 years.

Hugh Hefner was probably the first and most well-known post modern day prophet of Baal-Peor.  Hugh didn’t start the process of fornication, he simply refined the concept and simplified the process.  Playboy led the main attack in corrupting the stereotypical father and his family unit.  It single-handily transformed the sexual landscape over- night.  It changed the language we spoke, objectified women  established the adult industry, rose up and trained generations of proud fornicators to be anti-god through the practice of ungodly sex.

Playboy’s philosophy was a soft-core approach to pornography through the disguise of entertainment.  Playboy almost silenced the church for there was little to no resistance to it.  Pastors and church leaders qualified for special reduced rates to entice them in and apostatise their thoughts and disarm them from helping their flock.  What a way to mock the body of Christ!  This should come as no surprise because it ties in with Numbers 25 v 3-4. where the rulers and leading men were among the first to join themselves to Baal Peor and we wonder why we are where we are.

– Satan’s messenger –

Hefner’s sly approach to pornography smoothed the way forward for the rest who have followed through the mass media of music, film and entertainment.  Playboy’s message is simple and straightforward.  It hasn’t deviated off course or contradicted itself.  Its doctrine and theology is the same today as it was when Balaam first preached it 3500 yrs ago.  That’s to celebrate and promote moral decline through fornication, adultery, divorce, broken homes, sexual promiscuity, sexual perversion, child sacrifice, lust of the flesh, obscenity etc.

Playboy has preached Satan’s message faithfully and religiously every month for over 60 yrs.  Witnessing to men and women  through its magazines and films  that you don’t need to be married to enjoy sex.  Attacking the sanctity, safety and purity of the Christian marriage bed.  Working in perfect partnership with the availability of the birth control pill and the 100% reliability of the abortion clinic.

The launch of Playboy was the churches equivalent to Pearl Harbour .  This was a call to arms and we missed it big time.  So big that can you believe that Hugh cleverly managed to remove anything of a religious nature that would have exposed his true agenda. The worship of Baal Peor through fornication.

We cannot afford to forget the damage that this guy has left behind as the spawn of his legacy continues to destroy christian marriages.

Deuteronomy    35 To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

What did Jesus say about temptation?

Here is Andrew’s latest blog…

What did Jesus say about temptation?

Who is more important in the bible and Christianity than Jesus, the sinless Lord of Lords and King of Kings? Who better to help us conquer the temptation of sexual sin?

Matthew 4:s 1-11 says:

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” But he answered, “It is written,  “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'” Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'” Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.'”  Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,  “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'” Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

and also:

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:15-‬16 ESV

Jesus is the perfect person to understand our failings. The Lord was tempted in every way and so He will not mock you, look down on you, or punish you when you come to Him with an honest and repentant heart seeking forgiveness. If you are struggling with temptation He will help you.

His word will empower you in this battle and the above verses teach us many things about temptation. Firstly, we can see that Satan is not foolish, and chooses to attack when you are at your weakest and not when you have the strength and awareness to flee, but rather when you are tired, weak, down or depressed, hungry (either spiritually or physically) or lonely.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 ESV

We always need to be aware and never give in to prideful ideas like ‘I am too strong’ or ‘that has never happened and will never happen me’. You are not a spiritual titan on your own strength. Even angels have fallen under the lies of Satan to join his army.

So if staying up alone at night leads to watching porn then don’t do it because you won’t always have the willpower to defeat it.  If you are hurting, instead of falling into porn as a crutch, get accountable with some godly friends, church members or your spouse.

I speak from experience on all these things, so don’t think you are alone, no matter what your particular temptations are. All sin is the same before God even if we as people like to categorise it and try and make our particular sin seem less sinful than others.

So how do these verses explain Jesus’ response to temptation?

  • “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'”

This one is easy to expound. Reading God’s word will convict any true Christian into action! Satan will use anything to separate you from God’s word. Thought precedes action and if your thought-life is godly then your chances of falling into temptation will be reduced greatly. So get into the word of God and have it engrafted into your heart so you will be ready to stand against the temptations of the devil.

  • ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.”

Don’t test God and don’t expect Him to do all the leg work. You are his servant, He isn’t yours. You have your part to play. He has provided all the power you need in him. Build up your mental strength in Jesus, meditate on God’s word, don’t forget the damage and pain sexual sin causes you and others.  You are more than a conqueror with God’s power and can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-‬39 ESV

  • “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,  “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'”

You also have the power to say “BE GONE SATAN!” Don’t worship satan or any of the false gods he goes by! He is nothing compared to the power that lives in you! You have to make a decision each time you are tempted commit sexual sin. Are you going to worship Satan, yourself or whatever else or are you going to worship God and serve Him only.

May God strengthen you in your battle brother or sister in Christ and I pray you will resist temptation as you worship and serve the Lord your God.

Is pornography nearing it’s end?

Working in this ministry one question that keeps coming up is this. ” Why is God allowing the pornography industry to continue and flourish when so many marriages are being ruined because of it?” .   This is a fair point, after all, pornography is now a contributing factor in many divorces.  Not to mention the hurt and abuse that comes with it. So why does God seem to be sitting back and watching us struggle?

Probably the best answer I could find for this is to be found in Genesis 15 vs 16.   In this passage of scripture, God’s grace is on full display.  He gives the Canaanite nations 400 years to repent of their detestable religious practices or face His judgement.  Repentance would have been made possible by the judgement of Sodom and Gomorrah.  Which were close to Canaanite territory and the influence of godly men such as Abraham and Melchizedek who lived among them. But still,  they gradually rejected what they knew about God and moved deeper into sin and perversion.

The Amorites were the greatest and most powerful of all the Canaanite nations.  They were warrior like, numerous and widespread.  But the Canaanites were the scourge of society.  Moral depravity, social decay and sexual perversion was the order of the day. Just as the porn industry is to us today.  God was, in fact, long-suffering and endured the idolatry and sins of the nation for four centuries, but there must come a culminating point.  Sin simply cannot be allowed to go on forever.  Moses understood the spiritual and religious rites of fornication associated with the Canaanites was nothing more than heathen worship to Satan.  And the porn industry is a clever disguise and continuation of that practice today.

As God used the Israelite’s to bring his judgement to the Canaanites in the OT,   Jesus Christ will bring God’s wrath against the church’s enemies in the latter days.  The church is not God’s instrument of judgement towards the pornography industry, but his instrument of mission, evangelism and grace.

There’s no doubting for one moment that the pornography industry will finally come to an end. God has promised it to us  JOEL 3 13  but it will not happen unless there is repentance or  sin reaches it’s fullness marked out by God.  So until whichever one occurs first. Turn your daily prayer asking God for His protection and strength to help you overcome the temptation of pornography.  Keep your focus on Jesus, run the good race, prepare your soul for eternity and leave the judging to God.

God is still in control and he will do the judging.  No matter how bad we all may think it is, this is a testing of our faith.  To let God get on with and do what He has promised to do to in His time to the mocking idol of pornography.

Colossians 1 21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
