Gen3x has been running for almost 4 months now and we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for all the encouragement that we have received. We were using this time as a trial period and with over 7000 hits already and some very positive feedback, we feel it is now time to push deeper.

God is good and has led many people to the site from all over the world. Some of the countries that we have noticed logging on are Australia, Bali, Germany, Hong Kong, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Peru ,UK and the USA. We would love to be able to help and inform as many struggling believers as possible, so we are asking for your help by telling others about Gen3x.

Help us so that we can help others. If you have any contacts or ideas to share, please let us know and we will be glad to make use of them. Also if you can spare the time, we need translators who would be willing to work with us in making gen3x available in other languages.

We will also be opening up a comments area shortly so that you can also share your thoughts and opinions on the various blogs that we will be posting. This is an exciting time and we can’t wait to share with you how God is changing lives and setting people free.

His and Her Shopping

Men and women can be very different, so it is important that we try to see each others point of view and to take the time to do what is pleasing for our spouse.  For example, in general men don’t like to shop, but women usually do.  If my husband needs a pair of shoes, he goes straight to the usual shoe shop, buys his shoes and comes home.  On the other hand, I go to every shoe shop in town, spending the whole day browsing, then go back to the first shop and buy the pair I’d seen that morning.

So how can we possibly go shopping together without my husband getting fed up, or me ending up feeling rushed?

Each of us needs to give a little grace to the other. Consider one another and compromise.

Why not take time out and go for a coffee?  Take every opportunity to spend quality time together.

This gives ‘him’ a break from the shops, and also gives ‘her’ a chance to ponder which shoes she likes best!

Communication is important, so it is good to make time to fit this into our busy lifestyles.

Remember it’s the little foxes that can spoil the vine!

Greatest Evangelist of the 20th Century.

Bigger than Billy Graham

When you think evangelism, does it conjure up images of televangelists, door 2 door cold calling, open air meetings and a huge effort in carrying on the great commission?  Big names like Billy Graham, The Wesley’s, D L Moody, Spurgeon – and so on – spreading the word of God with fire and brimstone and seeing people saved by the thousands. But wait! Satan also has his evangelists, busy at keeping people from being saved or putting out the fire of the Holy Spirit within them.

I want you to consider this guy as the greatest evangelist of the 20th century. Bigger than Billy Graham and more popular than the Apostle Paul. This 1 man has never preached from a pulpit, but yet his message has helped to turn global society upside down, changed the hearts and minds of BILLIONS of people, set more captives free apparently, overturned more laws than the rest of the great preachers put together.       

His message has been preached faithfully every month for over sixty years through monthly devotionals (playboy) and movies, telling men that they don’t have to be married to enjoy sexual relationships and that marriage is the way to a slow death. He wasn’t promoting steady relationships or marriage. He was selling the idea of one night stands, pleasure, promiscuity, free sex and plenty of it. His vision has lifted the pornography industry out of the gutter, guided and nurtured it to where it is today. He is the Grand-daddy of Porn.

Back in Dec 1953 Hugh Hefner mortgaged off his furniture, borrowed £4000 from investors and published a slick glossy magazine featuring a nude calendar of Marilyn Monroe and hence Playboy was born.  The first serious men’s girly magazine had arrived. Way back in the beginning, if you were a man of the cloth you would qualify for a special discounted rate. I wonder how many availed of this offer?

 

Playboy*s success was really the spark that got the adult industry off the ground and made it “respectable”. Imitators such as Penthouse from the UK, and Larry flint’s Hustler entered the scene and soon others got on board and started to push the boundaries even further.

Satan has been very patient; from Gutenburg’s printing press to the Google search engine he has taken his time making sure all the pieces have been put in place to smooth the path for the epidemic of internet pornography. He hasn’t been wasting his time preaching on the street corners or putting up with open air meetings, his message has been warmly welcomed into millions of Christian homes across the world through his carefully controlled media empire.  The satanic firestorm of pornography has consumed society and now it’s ready to consume the church. Unless we stand up and do something about it.

Day 21 – God Will Do a New Thing

 

ISAIAH 43:18,19 – Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. 

 

Don’t Dwell on Your Past

Unfortunately, not one of us can change our past, but we can do something about our future.  God tells us in this promising verse, that we must forget the former things, and we are not to dwell on our past, but to look forward in anticipation because He is doing a new thing!

We can so easily become caught up in our past, and like I said in another study, we can become like a prisoner, bound in chains of emotional bondage, making it difficult to move forward.  Jesus came to set the captive free, don’t be controlled by the things which He has already defeated at Calvary.

Jesus’ ways are always new and fresh, pure and perfect.  The past is over and done, it’s time for you to concentrate and focus on what lies ahead.  Jesus will heal your past and all the mental, physical and spiritual damage caused by that, while you press onwards into your future in Him.

 

Doing a new thingHe has something new in store for you

God has fresh spring water for you to drink which will sustain you, heal you and strengthen you.  It is time (if you choose) to begin to reclaim what the enemy has stolen from you, your family and your marriage.  Please be encouraged that God has promised you will be paid back all that has been taken and even double blessings for your loss and your pain.

“Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope, even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.” Zechariah 9:12

“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” Isaiah 61:7

 

So change your focus

In Day 1 we learned how God will give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. It’s time to see transformation and new beginnings, so get ready for what He has planned for you.

You need to stop looking behind and start looking ahead.  When you continually look behind you can’t see where you’re going!  Have hope today that the God of the universe holds you in His hands and the enemy cannot snatch you away from them. It is only the enemy’s lies that will try to convince you that you must give up, or that God does not care.

Trust in Him and allow Him to be Lord over all your life and He will not fail you.  We need to pray in agreement with our sisters around the world that many marriages will be taken back from the enemy’s hands as we turn our eyes towards Jesus.

“No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” Isaiah 43:13

God is on your side, so you don’t need to be afraid.  He sees your great pain, and He knows exactly what the devil has stolen from you.  He will repay in His perfect way and His perfect timing.  He promises you this as you walk in His ways.

“Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labour; blessings and prosperity will be yours.” Psalm 128:1-2

 

Let things go

I know that change isn’t always easy

Sometimes we can even become comfortable in our troubles, because it is all we have known for a long time.  You need to step out of your comfort zone with boldly confidence.  God’s plans and His changes are always for your good.  He sees the bigger picture and what lies ahead for you when all you can see is darkness.

At just the right time, He will show you this new thing He has for you and He will open your eyes to the way He is making in the desert.

 

Remember to praise and worship your Father in all things, who is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, you will be able to celebrate as the manifestation of this new thing in your life will appear.

So please take that huge step of faith, trust in Him and He WILL lead you into the promised land!

Enough is Enough

 

We are fighting a war that the flesh was never designed to do.  Ephesians 6 clearly spells out that our enemy is spiritual and evil. No soldier goes into battle without being prepared, so the only way we as believers can fight the enemy, is with the promises of God. Your enemy is counting on you not knowing the authority that you have through the name of Jesus and His mighty Word. Satan loves nothing more than to wrestle with weak believers. The living word of God is our weapon for attack.  Meditate, remember and digest these verses.  For too long you have been meditating on the wrong things, start fighting back with these verses the next time the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy.

I am a slave to righteousness 6:18, and not to lust
