DAY 19 – Hand It all Over to God, He Will Act

Jesus carrying youWhen dangers and conflicts arise, quote this little verse to yourself, remember the promise it contains and He will carry you through any struggles in life. He has the power to move heaven and earth on our behalf. He has guided me safely through countless dangers, and has never failed to protect me from harm and He will do the same for you.

Just a Teaspoon at a Time!

Teaspoon at a timeSometimes it can look like God doesn’t hear us, and that our mountain isn’t moving.  I used to think He didn’t hear my cries and that my mountain of marriage problems was never going to budge.  However, my mountain did begin to move, not all at once, or that I could even see, but in small pieces, sometimes as tiny as a teaspoon at a time.

MARK 11:23 – I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

God seesIt ‘s easy to want to seek revenge on our husbands when they hurt us.  We want to take things into our own hands and get even.

Revenge should be left in God’s hands. Proverbs 20:22 also talks about revenge, “Do not say, I’’ll pay you back for this wrong!’ Wait for the Lord, and He will deliver you.”

It may seem just too hard to hand it all over, but with the supernatural help of the Holy Spirit, all things are possible. To read more click here

Day 16 – Are You Dwelling on Your Husband’s Sins?

Remove the plank from your own eye and you will see things much clearer
Remove the plank from your own eye and you will see things much clearer

What is Your Motive for Pointing Out Your Husband’s Sin?

Is your motive to help him recover and get back in full fellowship with the Lord or is it to criticize and condemn him?  Our motive should always be towards restoration and not condemnation or humiliation.

Matthew 7 3 – Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

Day 15 – Don’t allow anger to control your tongue!

tongue of fire“The anger of man does not bring the righteousness of God into fulfilment,” James 1:20.

When experiencing hurt or pain, anger will begin to swell up inside a person’s heart.  Especially after being treated unfairly, for example, if your husband has been viewing pornography or involved in some other kind of sexual sin.  Anger can begin to swell up inside us and starts to move the tongue, forming words on the inside which are then spoken out. When the Bible says “be slow to speak” it is first talking about those words which come from angry thoughts and are then spoken out.
